Mount Diablo Creek runs from the north slopes of Mount Diablo through the Cities of Clayton and Concord before reaching Suisun Bay. 90% of its 17 miles are natural, with no obvious reinforcements or concrete channels. Over 25% of its watershed (the land that drains to the creek) is parkland and over 20% is agricultural land, while 40% is covered by impervious surfaces such as roads, office, schools, and houses.
